CGU works with a small stable of freelance videographers. Depending on availability, we may be able to help you hire one. Shoots are typically a single videographer operating one or two cameras, capturing the speaker and the presentation slides. If you choose this option, you may also need to hire an editor (if the videographer you choose does not offer editing services) and the video must be captioned by an ADA-compliant captioning service if it contains audible speech necessary for understanding the video. Completed videos are hosted on CGU Live.
Cost: Individual videographers typically charge $400 for an event that is four hours or less, and $50 per hour afterwards. Once a videographer is secured, you will be charged a $200 cancellation fee if videography is canceled for any reason within 14 days of the scheduled event.
Permissions: We recommend you get permission to videotape this event from all speakers and participants before you submit this request. The No. 1 cause of video cancellation is speakers or participants who never agreed to be videotaped. Please download the PDF release form below for speakers who are not affiliated with CGU.
Room Access: The videographer will need access to the event location one hour before event start time.
